Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of medvancer.com (the "Site") and any programme, session or review you book with Medvancer (the "Services"). By using the Site or booking a Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
Medvancer is operated as a sole trader trading as "Medvancer". You can contact us at medvancer@gmail.com.
2. Nature of the service
Medvancer provides mentorship, coaching and application-support services for aspiring UK medical school applicants. Our mentors are current or former medical students and healthcare professionals sharing their own experience and guidance.
We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including but not limited to receiving an interview, an offer, or admission to any medical school or programme. Medvancer is not affiliated with UCAS, any UK medical school, the UCAT consortium, or any regulatory body.
3. Booking & payment
- Prices for each Service are shown on the Programmes page and confirmed at checkout.
- Payment is taken securely via Stripe at the time of booking (or monthly for subscription products).
- Sessions are delivered one-to-one online unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Session times are confirmed by email. It is your responsibility to attend at the scheduled time.
4. Rescheduling, cancellations & refunds
Our full rescheduling and refund terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when booking and when uploading a personal statement.
- Attend sessions on time and behave respectfully towards mentors.
- If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is aware you are using the Service.
- Do not record sessions without the mentor's written consent.
6. Intellectual property
All course materials, worksheets, session content and website copy are the intellectual property of Medvancer and are provided for your personal use only. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or publish our materials without written permission.
You retain ownership of personal statements and other work you submit for review. By submitting them you grant us a limited licence to read, annotate and return them as part of the Service.
7. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in question in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Services if you materially breach these Terms, behave abusively towards mentors, or misuse our materials. Where reasonable, we will contact you first.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
